Gaines graduated from Fair Park High School and was a Member for First Methodist Church of Shreveport. During her free time she enjoyed painting, and interior decorating.
Gaines is survived by; son Ronny Smith (Ruth); grandson Allen Smith and great grandson Chad Smith.
Gaines was preceded in death by; husband E. Wayne Smith; father Leon McKinney Sr. and mother Mai Edwards McKenney; brother Leon McKenney Jr..
A visitation for Gaines will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A graveside will occur Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the pavilion in Centuries Memorial Park.
