Bossier City, LA E. Wayne Smith was born in Shreveport, La, January 22, 1928, his parents were Ernest and Mary Smith. He went to be with his Lord January 5, 2014 in Shreveport.

Mr. Smith started working for Mobil Oil Company Corp. in 1950 as a Consignee. He later formed Smith Oil and Tire Co. Inc. which he operated until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Shreveport, LA.

Surviving Mr. Smith is his loving wife 69 years, Gaines M. Smith; his son, Ronald Wayne Smith and wife Ruth of Jefferson, TX; grandchildren, Allen Wayne Smith, William Frazier and Jennifer Anderson and husband Tye; great-grandson Chad Smith; and a host of great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 2:00 PM in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Beeman. A private family viewing will be held at 1:30 at the funeral home.
