Obituary from The Deseret News (Salt Lake City, UT) - Wednesday, June 30, 2004:

ST. GEORGE / HEBER, UT- Our loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Vivienne Stevens Probst, passed away Monday, June 28, 2004, in St. George, Utah due to complications from surgery.

She was born June 16, 1920, in Wilford, Idaho, to Henry Elisher and Mary McLaws Stevens. She graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber City, Utah. Married David Probst on June 26, 1940, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Vivienne served in numerous positions and callings. Mom was very active in Civic and Community affairs. She was one of the founders of Swiss Days in Midway, Utah. She was known for her scones, Swiss Breads and bratzleys. She was also a founding member of the Midway Garden Club and loved working in her garden with her roses and other flowers.

Vivienne is survived by three sons: David Lee (Sandi) Probst of Heber City; Hal (Glenda Jo) Probst of Bear River City; Neil Pete (Peggy) Probst of Heber City; daughter, Jolene (Jerry) Turner of Absarokee, Montana; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Blanch (Glenn) Anderson; two brothers: Willard (Ethyl) Stevens and Ned (Margene) Stevens of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, two daughters, LaWanna Lasher and Shere Wiley, and three grand- children.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2004 – 11:00 a.m. in the Midway LDS 2nd Ward Church, 250 East 200 South, Midway, Utah. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, and on Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery.
