Early Life: Nick was born May 30, 1977, to Deloy and Vickie Taylor. He came into this world with a head full of curly, red hair and a zest for life. For a long time, Nick was everyone’s baby and he blessed the lives of everyone that he crossed paths with. He was raised in Salem and graduated from Spanish Fork High School.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Nick was loyal to many friends, most called him “Pearly”; they became a part of his family. He always had a smile on his face throughout the many joys and trials in his life. He had a remarkable spirit, demeanor and never let the hardships define him. In 2004, Nick gained a son, Carsen, when he married Ashley Hansen. Together they added three more children: Sawyer, Drew and Hayes, to their family. Nick and Ashley later divorced. His three boys were his best buddies and Hayes was his princess. In 2011, Nick was sealed for time and eternity to his four children in the Mount Timpanogos Utah LDS Temple. The love that Nick had for his kids and family was never ending. He has left a beautiful legacy for his children to remember him by. Nick was passionate about many things in life and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Last fall, he was able to go to Washington DC and live his dream. He attended a Redskins game and was treated as a VIP; he had completed his bucket list. Nick felt most at home in the outdoors doing what he loved with whom he loved. He was an excellent bow hunter and won many archery competitions. He loved camping and looked forward to summer when he could take his boys and teach them to hunt and shoot his guns. He spent many of his younger years at the sand dunes on his banshee with the Salem Pond Posse. From the time Nick was a little boy, he had a deep love for chickens, he loved having his own coop in his backyard with his children. Nick was always up for a good joke and could lighten any room with his witty sense of humor; he made jokes and laughed until the end. He was a very determined and a hard worker; he was highly respected throughout all of the positions that he held in his life. Nick finished his three year low-voltage apprenticeship program at the local 354 electrical union. He held many certifications: Systimax, Siemons, Pandiut, Amp, Uniprise, Corning, and Legrand. Nick worked for Wasatch Electric as a general foreman for eight years before moving on to Rio Tinto, Rocky Mountain ATV, and most recently, Progrexion Marketing. He was known as one of the best fiber guys in the state of Utah. Although Nick’s time here on earth was short, his loved ones have found comfort in knowing that it was enough. He had completed what he was set out to do in a manner that was worthy of all blessings. Nicholas Jon Taylor returned home on January 27, 2017, surrounded by family and friends after a valiant battle with brain cancer.
