Joyce Ann (Leer) Terry, of Rocky, passed from this life on January 29, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 53. Joyce was born on July 10, 1963, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Joe Leer and Carol (Kight) Leer. Joyce grew up in Sentinel attending grade school as well as a high school graduate of Sentinel. After graduation she attended Altus Junior College and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Joyce worked for The Department of Human Services as the Foster Care and Adoption Supervisor for several counties in SW Oklahoma. She touched many lives and she was always smiling which made people happy to be around her. Joyce was a member of the Northeast Church of Christ in Sentinel, an avid piano player, excellent pool player, fisherwoman, a Pampered Chef consultant, which indicated her love of cooking and keeping her family stocked with great home cooked meals, but her passion was her family especially her two grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her husband Dickie of the home in Rocky, mother Carol Wert and husband Bob of Sentinel, one son; Jacky Tindle and wife Leslie of Erick, one sister; Yvetta Real and husband Jeff of Sentinel, two grandchildren; Alisha Ross and Jace Tindle, one niece Danica Real and two nephews Jeremy and Kevin Real, step-mother Reba Leer of Rocky, along with a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Joe Leer and her grandparents.
