MARPLES, HOWARD, "BIGGIN," also known as "Mumbles" and "Pappy", 73, of Louisville, died Friday, December 30, 2005.

He retired from Dealers Transport, where he worked for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda; parents, Cleo and Lula Marples; one brother and one sister.

Survivors include former wife, Marianna; sons, Stephen, Rusty (Colleen), and Lance (Doddie); a daughter, Kathy; twin brother Harold, and a brother, Bill; sisters, Barbara and Midge; and 10 grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home. Visitation will be after noon on Tuesday. Cremation was chosen. In the Spring of 2006, a memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the Rough River Camp. Memorial gifts may be directed to Rough River memorial fund in care of the family.
