LaVonne F. Walter, age 92, of Rochester, MN died Saturday January 28, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St Marys Campus in Rochester.
LaVonne F. Bacon was born September 26, 1925 to Benjamin and Viola (Perdue) Bacon in LeRoy Township Mower County. She was number 10 of 16 siblings. She attended school through the 8th grade.
LaVonne was united in marriage to Leo Joseph Walter on February 5th, 1948 in Faribault, MN. Leo died January 24th, 1967. They had no children. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and spending time with family.
She is survived by 1 sister, Evelyn Jean Strain of Rochester, a neice Dorothy (Don) VanTries of Spring Valley, a nephew Rod (Nancy) Bacon of Barnett, MO and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband several siblings and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday February 1, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Spring Valley with Rev Joe Haynes. Burial will take place in the Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of service at the church.
