Pauline Long, 87, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mount Olive Memorial Park Chapel with Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating.

She was born January 24, 1930 in Sweetwater, Texas to Ruby Hollis Starcner and James Marion Stracner.

She married Eugene Lawrence Long, Sr. on August 3, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas.

She had been a resident of Big Spring and Howard County for most of her life.

She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Knott and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons: James Marshall Long of Big Spring and Eugene Lawrence Long, Jr. and wife Karen of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren: Trenton Long, Trevor Long, Trey Long and Tara Long and their mother Judy Long and one brother James Robert Stracner and wife Marion of Breckenridge.

In addition to her parents and her husband Eugene, she was preceded in death by one sister Frankie Smallwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial to the Pauline Long Memorial Fund at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
