Verna Dorothy Winstead, 71, of 1601 LaMar Drive died Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born July 8, 1922, in Loudon County, Tenn., to John B. and Annie Marie O'Neal Millsaps, she married J.D. Winstead on Sept. 21, 1943, in Loudon County. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Joe David of Okeechobee, Fla., and Michael Allen of Morton; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Richardson and Dollie Ann Kirby, both of Maryville, Tenn., and Eva Aileen Frank of Rockford, Tenn.; and one brother, Joe Gilbert Millsaps of Porter Springs, Ga. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
