WAR VETERAN OF RIPON DIES AT AGE OF 77

ROY WILLIAM WALLACE SERVICES SCHEDULED AT FUNERAL HOME.

Roy William Wallace, 77, of 231 ½ Watson St., Ripon, died Thursday at Ripon Municipal Hospital following an eight-month illness.

He was born Oct. 1, 1888, at Sharpsville, Pa., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wallace. He married Mae Schuers of Brandon who survives. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5278 of Ripon. Mr. Wallace was employed as a refrigeration engineer and had lived in Sharpsvile, Milwaukee and Fairwater. He resided in Ripon the last seven years.

Other survivors are four sons, David, Jack, Roy and Robert, and two daughters, Mrs. Alice Farnum, and Mrs. Joyce Smith, all of Sharpsville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Leo McCougal, Oakland City, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs. Florence Grimm, Sharpsville. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon, Rev. R. Liddle officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. Fruiends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
