Marianne ("Mary" as she preferred later) was born in Prussia. There are conflicting records about her birth year and maiden name. Her death record lists her father's name as Jacob "Jendeuski;" and on the D.C.'s of her sons John and Mathew, her maiden name is given as "Andereski" and "Andreski." These are all probably misspellings of Andrzejewski. Mary's death record has age 94 at death (b.~1805); but when she emigrated with three of her sons and two daughters in 1873, she gave her age on arrival as 56 (b.~1817). She was married in Prussia, to Matheus Krzeszewski. They had at least six children: Maximillian (b.~1845), Ludwika (b.~1851), Joseph (b. 1853), John (b. 1854), Josephine (b.~1857/8), and Matheus (b. 1864). If born in 1805, Mary would have been age 58/59 when she conceived youngest son Matheus, which seems unlikely, so the more realistic date of 1817 is used here.

Mary came to Huron Co. in the mid 1870s along with her four sons, and daughter Josephine. Josephine married Frank Goretski in 1878. By 1880, Mary and her sons had changed their surname to "Miller," and were living together and farming in Dwight Twp. Mary continued to live in Dwight on one of her sons' farms until her death in 1899. (Possibly with oldest son Max, aka Michael Miller, but not certain.) She is buried in St. Michael Cemetery in Port Austin. LaBelle's transcript of the burial records has her as Mary "Krzeszewaki" (small transcription error), 1806-1899, and the grave location is not recorded.
