WATERVILLE - Carla J. Richards, 60, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville. She was born Oct. 11, 1956, in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of Carl and Beverly (Keating) Gillen.
Carla worked as a CNA in nursing homes, loved taking care of children, and enjoyed knitting and other crafts.
Carla is survived by her son, Ben Richards, her daughter, Laura Berard; her sister, Carrie Kemmerer and husband, Bob, and their family; as well as her grandchildren, Olivia and Landen Richards.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Kling Cemetery, West River Road, Augusta. Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta. (Central Maine Newspapers 1/26/2017)
