Son of John Reynolds (Vicar of St Thomas the Apostle, Exeter) and Mary (daughter of Thomas Ainsworth), his wife, born 31 Jan 1680/1. Father of the renowned artist, Sir Joshua Reynolds. Marble stone was placed in 1859 by Mr William Cotton, but the death year was carved in error. The original parish register clearly shows a burial of December 26, 1745.
