Town of Two Rivers Farmer Dies At Hospital This Morning
George Monk, 64, prominent town of Two Rivers farmer for more than a quarter
of a century, died in the municipal hospital at 1:30 this morning.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the Beduhn and
Goetz funeral home and at 2 o'clock from St. John's Lutheran church, with the
Rev. W.G. Haase officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers Rest cemetery.
The deceased was born in Goshen, Ind., and at the age of nine years he came to
the town of Two Rivers with his parents where he resided since. In 1894 he was
married to Alvina Petzoldt of the town of Two Rivers, who preceded him in death
several years ago.
Mr. Monk is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Erwin Frenz of this city, and two sons,
William on the homestead farm, and Erwin of this city, a member of the fire
department who is vacationing in Arizona.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 7 o'clock tonight until the hour
of the funeral.
