Alvin Self of Irving, died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the age of 64. He was born on November 16, 1952 in Stamford, Texas to Ish and Mozelle (Hay) Self. Alvin was a self-employed photographer. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jerry McMeans. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Self of Irving; daughters, Tamara Domenico and husband Sean of Denver, Colorado, Kim Rubin and husband Brian of Denver, Sarah Rahm of Irving; grandchildren, Kayla Rubin, Parker Rahm, and Beck Rubin; and one brother, Jimmy Self of Mineral Wells. Alvin was a Mason in Irving. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Memorials can be made to the SPCA, The American Kidney Foundation or Scottish Rite Hospital.
