Guy Martin Altizer, 86, of Cedar Bluff, Va., died Wednesday in a Richlands, Va., hospital following a long illness.

He was born in McDowell County, a son of the late Thomas and Sarah Nuckol Altizer, and had lived in the Cedar Bluff area his entire life.
He was a retired employee of the Town of Richlands, and a member of the Crossroads Christian Advent Church, Cedar Bluff.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Oma Margaret Reed Altizer; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Riley of Squire; and one brother, James G. Altizer of Cedar Bluff.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home,
Richlands, with Rev. Bernard Shrader officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va.

Pallbearers will be Greg Altizer, Marvin Nipper, Larry Short, Bert Brown, Sammy Altizer, Joe Bill Horton, Rodney Horton and Larry Davis.
The body is at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home where friends may call.
