June E. Black, 91, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 18. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Black, Jr.
Mrs. Black was born in Dallastown on August 24, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Mabel (Eberly).
June worked as a secretary for most of her life and retired from Ramcliff Supply. She was a lifelong resident of Dallastown. June loved chocolate, cards, shopping and baking. She was known to make frequent jokes and was not always politically correct, but she always made you laugh.
She is survived by her two children, Susan E. Kelly and her husband, Richard of Export and Michael Black and his wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Danielle Black, Justin Black and his wife, Ann, Jamie Black, Trish Kelly, Rich Kelly and his wife, Erin, and Michael Kelly. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Brooke Black, Emerson Kelly, Cody Myers and Brady Myers; sister-in-law, Betty Newport; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by her aunt and uncle, Margaret and Lester Ehrhart.
A service to honor June's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St. Dallastown. A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Saturday and will begin at 2 p.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Kaltreider – Benfer Library, 147 S. Charles St., Red Lion, PA 17356.
