Mary Curry age 84 of Grinnell, Iowa and formerly of Deep River, Iowa died Tuesday at St Francis Manor in Grinnell. Interment will be at the Barnes City Cemetery south of the city.

Mary L Grandstaff was the daughter of William and Winifred Proctor Grandstaff. She was raised in Grinnell and attended Grinnell schools and graduated from Grinnell High School.

She was married to Raymond Ahrens on January of 1952. To this union was born five children; Teresa, William, Kenneth, Russell & Laura. They were later divorced.

They lived on a farm in Sheridan Township where she was a mother, a homemaker and assisted with the farm operation.

She was married to Les Curry on May 26, 1985 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grinnell. They enjoyed living on their acreage near Deep River. She enjoyed gardening & raising flowers

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband in their travel trailer at his work sites. Mary also found time to do water coloring and china painting.

Mary was a member of St John Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Deep River.
