Good Fishing on the Potomac
Messrs. Somerset T. Williams, Proprietor of High View Hotel at Boyds, and Frank J. Welch, of the Treasury Department, Washington, went fishing on the Potomac, near Tuscarora, Saturday and caught a large string of bass, the heaviest weighing nearly four pounds. Mr. Williams caught eight fine black bass, weighing from 1 1/2 to 3 3/4 sounds each. The fishing along at Dickersons, Seneca and other points is reported as being excellent.

Straight as the proverbial arrow and as active as most men 20 years his junior. Somerset T. Williams, of Boyds, one of the county's best-known citizens, gave further proof here Friday that he is still "going strong", in spite of his 85 years, by appearing in the office of the cork of th circuit court and obtaining a license to hunt during the season which opened last Monday. Mr. Williams has been an enthusiastic devotee of hunting for most of his long life, partridge shooting being his chief hobby, and has always been rated a fine shot. Something like 3,000 hunting permits have so far been issued by the office of the clerk of the circuit court here, and Mr. Williams has the distinction of being the oldest of the applicants.
