Earl Milton Pace, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas went peacefully to be with Our Lord on January 18, 2017.

Earl was born on August 31, 1926 to Malcolm and Eula Pace of San Antonio, Texas. He was raised and attended schools in San Antonio until he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He left active duty in 1946 and returned to Texas, where he met and married his first wife, Joyce Marjorie Sanders of Waco, Texas. After their marriage, he returned to active duty in the USMC during the Korean War. In 1952 the family returned to Texas after the birth of their first child, Michael, and moved to Corpus Christi, where Earl began his long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone and later AT&T/Alcatel. During this period, Earl and Joyce, were blessed with the birth of twins, brother and sister, Jack and Janie Pace.

In 1983, Joyce succumbed to a long battle with cancer.

Earl remarried in 1986, to Dolores “Dee” McReynolds, to whom he was married for 30 years until the time of his passing.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Eula, and his brother Malcolm H. Pace, USMC Ret.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, from 5-7 PM at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a Rosary at 7 PM. The funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on January 21, 2017 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow the funeral mass at 1PM at the family plot at Seaside Memorial Park.
