LEXINGTON - Brett Lawson Williams, 16, was ushered into the arms of Jesus on January 17, 2017. He was born November 12, 2000 in Lexington, SC. He was a sophomore at White Knoll High School where he played baseball and had recently committed to play baseball for the University of South Carolina.
Brett attended Northside Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior and was an active member, involved in the church youth program. Brett loved and lived life to its fullest, enjoying all types of sports and activities and spending time with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Body Shop Athletics Cross Training Ministries of Lexington, SC and Northside Baptist Church, Lexington SC.
Brett is survived by his parents, Nathan and Laurie Williams and his brother, Wesley Williams all of West Columbia, SC. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Harvey, Sr. and Patty Cox of Goose Creek, SC; and his paternal grandparents, Glenda and Bill Dailey of Leesville and Jan Williams of Millen, GA; his maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Hurst of Goose Creek, SC. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church, Lexington, SC with burial to follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
