Celebration of life for Jessica Beasley Colbert, age 29, of Fayetteville, TN, was conducted Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12 noon at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church with Dr. Jon Hathcock and Rev. Jay Strother officiating with music provided by Jeremy and Mary Beth Johnson. The burial service followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Colbert passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Mrs. Colbert was a native of Williamson County, TN, the daughter of Linda (Tom) Blough and Tony (Susan) Beasley. She was a homemaker, a member of the Brentwood Baptist Church and she attended Fayetteville First Baptist Church with her husband and children. She was a graduate of Centennial High School in Franklin, TN and of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She earned her Bachelor of Business degree in Management.

Survivors include her husband Jay Colbert, children Charlie Grace Colbert, James Gray Colbert all of Fayetteville, TN, mother and step-father Linda and Tom Blough of Franklin, TN, father and step-mother Tony and Susan Beasley of Antioch, TN, sister Rebekah Haynes and husband Michael of Johnson City, TN, brother Brian Blough and wife Nicky of Arkport, NY, grandmothers Charlene Morrison of Brentwood, TN, Jane Beasley of Greeneville, KY, nieces and nephews Layla, Nash and Scarlett Haynes, Delia Blough, Max Smith, Tanner Synder, and Brittany Drazen, in-laws Dr. Jim and Jean Colbert of Fayetteville, TN, sister-in-law Mary Beth Colbert of Nashville, TN, grandmothers-in-law Maureen Ables and Shelby Colbert both of Fayetteville, TN. Survivors also include “adopted” sisters, Denise Fernandes of Brazil, and Heather Williams of Chattanooga, TN, and many, many friends.

Jessica was a young woman full of life and lived each day to the fullest. She loved everyone and was a devoted friend to all. She loved to dance, sing (especially in the car), giraffes, free pie Wednesdays, and shoes. She loved going on mission trips to Brazil and to Moldova. She loved her husband and her two children with all her heart and soul. Most importantly, she loved her Lord Jesus and her life was a reflection of that devotion.

Visitation with the family was Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4 until 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Fayetteville First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colbert Family Children’s Fund at First National Bank or the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Humane Society
