MUSCATINE, Iowa - Mona B. Horton, 81, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at UnityPoint Hospital, Muscatine.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Conesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the funeral home.
Mona was born on August 11, 1935, in Muscatine, the daughter of Francis and Essie Crist Horton.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse and had worked for several different nursing homes.
Those left to honor her memory include one son, Kevin Horton and Angela Williams, of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Ronald Horton and wife, Kay, and Gail Horton, all of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Pat Horton.
