Daniel N. Banning Sr., 59, of Cerro Gordo formerly of Decatur passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Dan was born on January 15, 1957 in Decatur, the son of William and Mary (Scrimpsher) Banning Sr.
Surviving are his sons, Daniel N. Banning Jr. (Jasmine Tipton) and Austin L. Banning; daughters, Danna J. Banning and Tara D. Dyer (Mikey); brother, Alan Banning; sisters, Mary Acklin (Charles), Leslie Clark (Chuck) and Pamela Davis (Jimmy); girlfriend, Melinda Pruitt; eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bruce Banning and William Banning Jr.
