Life's Work/Service/Interests: She married Francis Steel "Hank" Chandler on June 2, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Rhoda had a positive outlook on life and was very pleasant to be around. She was loved by all that knew her. She especially loved her family and was so proud of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by each and every one of them. After their marriage, they lived in Idaho for several years and then moved to Lyman, Wyoming, until the death of Hank; shortly after she moved back to Wendell, Idaho, to be near her parents. She sold LDS books from her home and helped to take care of her mother, Eva, until she died. She then moved to Provo and volunteered in the Senior Companion Program serving in this capacity for 19 years where she assisted many people. She went to live at the Beehive Home in October of 2013, where she has blessed the lives of many caretakers as they have blessed hers by caring for her. Rhoda was an example to all of her family of how to persevere in difficult times and how to love life in spite of problems. She was active in the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She loved and was concerned about each and every member of her family. She loved gardening, taking pictures, quilting, sewing and serving others. Rhoda May Nelson Chandler passed away peacefully at the Spanish Fork Beehive Home on January 15, 2017. She was 92.
