Born in Wilmington, Mr. had been associated with the Pennsylvania Railroad for 49 years before his retirement in January.
He was a member of Wilmington Lodge No. 1, Independent Order of Odd Fellows; Voiture 518, of the 40 et 8; the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and American Legion Post No. 214 of Upper Darby. He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, the former Emily Weed.
Services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday from the George C. Toppitzer Funeral Home, Garrett Road at Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, where there will be a viewing tomorrow evening. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington.
