Sarah Frances Williams Johnson Grant, age 76, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, at her home near Goldsboro. She was the daughter of the late Vivian Carr Williams and Frank Williams Sr. of the Williams Crossroads section near Mount Olive.

Sarah graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1958, and received a bachelor's degree from Mount Olive College. She was retired from civil service having been an accountant and business comptroller. She worshipped at Glen Raven Baptist Church in Kinston for as long as her health allowed. She was also a member of Holly Ridge Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Grant is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Kim and Steve Wiggins and Pamela and Duane Parrott all of Goldsboro; a sister, Joyce W. Correll of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Billie Johnson, Beverly Grandy, Connor Caviness and Katie Caviness; great-grandchildren, Kurtis, Ashley, Caleb, Jordan and Malachi; two stepsons, Douglas Harvey Grant and Kevin Aubrey Grant and wife, Sherry, all of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Mary Shannon Autry and husband, Dale, of Fayetteville; stepgrandchildren, Joshua Hubert, Weston Grant and Owen Grant; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with visitation to follow. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery of Mount Olive Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Glen Raven Baptist Church Honduras Missions Fund, 404 Rhem St., Kinston, N.C., 28501.
