Esther A. Reiter, 87, formerly of 222 Pennsylvania Ave., Shillington died Wednesday at 8::45 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Lebanon, where she had resided since April 1996.
Her husband, Paul K. Reiter, died Jan. 28, 1992.
Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Cletus and Leah K. (Brandt) Arnold.
Reiter was employed from 1955 to 1965 as a registered nurse by the Visiting Nurse Association of Reading and Berks County.
She was a 1928 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1932 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A., wife of Richard A. Winter, Lebanon; and two step-daughters: Jeanette A., widow of Donald Born, and Barbara A., widow of Herman Walter, both of Shillington.
Other survivors include a brother, Cletus Arnold, Lebanon; and a sister, June Arnold, Philadelphia.
There are also four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Joseph R. Lenich Jr.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Yocum's (sic: Yocom's) Cemetery, Grill.
