Daughter of Gerret Schenck and Jannetje Couwenhoven.


Baptized on 18 September 1737 at Reformed Dutch Congregations, Freehold and Middletown, Monmouth Co., New Jersey, witnesses: Roelof Schenk, Neeltje Voorhees.


Married 1st Hendrick Van Brunt, son of Nicholas Van Brunt and Geesje Hendricks by license dated on 21 December 1756 at New Jersey.

Will dated 26 August 1794 proved 11 Feb 1797. Hendrick Van Brunt of Shrewsbury, Twsp., Monmouth Co. Wife, Nelly, remainder of real and personal, while widow (should she marry, £300) also, 2 negro servants and 1 horse and riding chair. Brother Nicholas Van Brunt, £100 in trust, paying the interest to my sister, Anne Winant, during her life; after her decease, he to have the £100; also 1/2 of remainder of real and personal, should wife marry again. Brother, Cornelius's sons, i.e., Joseph, Nicholas, Hendrick and Cornelius, the other 1/2 of remainder (Joseph and Hendrick being allowed the value of buildings they have built on my land). Negro servants to be free after wife's decease. Executors: brother, Nicholas Van Brunt and my 2 relations Aucky Wikoff and John Schenck. Witnesses: Jacobus Hubbard, Jr., Garret Wikoff and Daniel Polhemus.3
