His intelligence was admired and appreciated by all who knew him; his approach to life was always thoughtful and analytical. He loved and is loved by both family and friends. He was respected by all who knew him. Rusty served 9 years in the Navy on nuclear submarines and nuclear training facilities. He retired from Duke Energy after working 30 years in the nuclear field.
