Marvin Earl Hester, age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 14, 2017) at Grayson Manor in Leitchfield.
He was born on December 19, 1938, in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Thomas and Pansy Marie Carter Hester.
He was self-employed, who enjoyed woodworking and showing his tractor and was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two brothers, four sisters. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Hester and two brothers, Howard and William Hester.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (January 17, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mickey Coates, Bro. Edward Cockriel and Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
