Billy Jack Burt
March 5, 1938 - January 11, 2017

On January 11, 2017, Heaven gained an incredible man of God. A man full of love, faith, and the light of Jesus that radiated from his heart.

Billy Jack Burt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and shepherd of God's people. He was a man who loved everyone, he had a servant's heart, and a Samaritans soul. He taught his children life lessons that will follow them for their rest of their journeys, and showed them the unconditional love only a father can give. He could be remembered spending time with his beloved children in his shop, showing them the ins and outs of life and sculpting them to be the best they could be. He was a man who many would say was best behind the pulpit, speaking God's word and love over everyone he met.

Billy was born on March 5, 1938, to Ellie Jack and Mabel Burt. He was one of nine children.

Billy grew up in Oklahoma where he met and married his first wife Nelly, who gave him four children and later moved to Oregon where he met his wife of 40 years, Virginia Rondinella, where it was love at first sight.

Billy is survived by his beautiful wife, Virginia Burt; his eight children: Annette, Billy Jr., Bobby, Bryan, BethAnn, Benjamin, Brady, and Becky; sixteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren who he loved with his entire heart.

He is also survived by two brothers, and many friends and family who loved him dearly. Billy is welcomed to heaven by his parents and 5 siblings. He was so proud of his life accomplishments which were raising his dear children, and the message of God he spoke around the United States.

Family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M.

A graveside service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the Oatmeal Cemetery in Bertram, Texas.
