Born April 7, 1966, in Pekin to Wiley R. and Diane Boughton Holmes, he married Melinda S. Fletcher on Sept. 14, 1991, in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Wiley and Carol Holmes of Pekin; his mother and stepfather, Diane and Paul Sloan of Centerville, Ohio; one stepgrandmother, Darlene Lowman of Pekin; one son, Jared Ryan; two brothers, Garry L. and Barry R.; one sister, Mrs. Brian (Holly D.) Lhamon; one half brother, Justin W.; and one half sister, Jessica D. Holmes.
He worked for Arthur Anderson Co. at Caterpillar Inc.'s Morton Parts Facility. He then became a program analyst for Caterpillar at the Morton facility.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
