Alene (Miller) Myers, 82, of Olney, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. She was born November 16, 1934 in Richland Co., IL, the daughter of George and Naomi (Stacey) Miller.
Alene was a people person who enjoyed socializing with others. She had a big heart and would help anyone who needed a hand. She enjoyed attending church and getting together with friends at the Tin Cup. Alene was a hard working mother of five children who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alene is survived by her son, Roger Myers and wife, Rhonda of Ramsey, IL; son, Bill Myers of Parkersburg, IL; daughter, Phyllis Dillworth of Savannah, GA; daughter, Charlotte Trout and husband Tony of Ingraham; daughter, Wanda Short of Marion, IL; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Miller; sister, Jeanie Addy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ivan, Dickey Joe, and Jerry Miller.
