Gloria Mae Murphy Law, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 9, 2017, following a life of service to her family, church, and others.

Gloria was born May 4, 1930, to Elias Smith Murphy and Frances Lillian Wanless Murphy in Ogden, Utah. She married Hugh Toner Law on August 22, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple.

She is survived by her six children; 26 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Hugh; her parents; sisters: Jane Murphy and Joyce Lundell; brother, Elias Smith Murphy, Jr.; and grandson, Jason Steffensen.

Gloria loved music and blessed many lives by sharing her beautiful singing voice and talent on the piano and organ. She was an active member of the LDS Church, always magnifying her many callings beautifully. She loved and served her family and was an example to us all of devotion to the Savior. We miss and love you Mom.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Hyland Lake Ward, located at 981 E Revere Circle, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.

Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
