Elizabeth Mettie Brannan Adams, 88, passed away on March 11, 2011.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 11 a.m., at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Steve Roy officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, William Percy Adams and wife, Joyce, of Apopka, FL; two grandchildren, Gina Odom of St. Augustine, FL, and Lisa Livesay of Apopka, FL; one great-grandchild, Scott Jeter of Apopka, FL; two sisters, Frances Barbour of Newport, and Marcell Brannan of Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marcellus Adams, husband, William Jessie Adams, son, Harold Thomas Adams, grandson, Michael Dana Adams, brothers, D.B. Brannan and Billy Brannan, and sister, Edna Crocker.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McLaurin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church, 314 W. Horne St., Clayton, NC 27520.
