After a life of miracles, Shirley Barton Gibson had one more amazing miracle in her life on Monday, the 9th of January 2017, when she overcame cancer to return home and ultimately to the Eternal Glory of our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Her life was a living miracle, from the early days as one of ten children born to Joseph and Lola Barton on the 29th of July 1948; to her marriage to her sweetheart and Eternal love, Larry Miner Gibson, for over 48 years.

The miracles continued as she had six children, who became 12 through temple marriages. Her legacy continued to grow with an amazing 40 grandchildren and even greater possibilities with one great granddaughter, so far. She worked miracles through her support and love for her husband allowing him to succeed professionally and serve faithfully in various church responsibilities, including traveling to the corners of the Earth. Throughout her life, including in these travels, she blessed and touched lives all over the world.

Everyone she met felt her love and her powerful testimony of Jesus Christ. The Light of Christ in her eyes, her radiant smile, her soft touch, her warm embrace and her loving words, even through her pain, were a blessing for all those she interacted with, no matter how briefly. These moments will continue to bless countless lives long after the day she left mortality. Although she will be deeply missed in our family and here on Earth, Heaven is abundantly blessed with another queen, our Queen. We love you Sweetheart, Sister, Mom, Aunt and Grandma. We will join you when our time too shall come. May God bless you and keep you until that special day.

We give special thanks to Dr Greg Bean, Dr Wallace Akerley, Terry Van Duren, and the teams at Huntsman Cancer Institute for their state-of-the-art skills, their amazing clinical experience and the unique specialty care provided in helping Shirley through this difficult journey. We shall forever be grateful.
