Larry Russell Goodman, 65, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 after many months of declining health. Larry was born April 22, 1951 in Wake County to the late Murphy Russell Goodman and Annie Dee Adcock Goodman. He graduated in 1969 from Vaiden-Whitley High School and went on to serve his country in the US Army/National Guard. He was a construction building inspector with the Town of Smithfield and also with the Town of Apex. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Mailman Road, Knightdale, 27545.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.
Surviving: daughter, Tracy Goodman Rosenberg and her husband Adam; grandchildren: Trevor Stevens and Jacob Huffman and one Rosenberg grandson on the way; sister, Claudia Goodman Glover and her husband Craig of Raleigh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joy Batchelor Goodman on April 5, 2015.
