He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rubye Jane Davis of Mayfield: a daughter, Miss Mona Lou Davis of New York City; a son, Dell Morris Davis of Europe; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Voris Brame of Water Valley and Mrs. Betty Quinn of Paducah; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Davis of Mayfield Rt. 2; five brothers, Thurman and James P. Davis, both of Mayfield, and Andy, Kerdean and Luther Davis, all of St. Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Otis Sherdon of Martin, Tenn., Mrs. James Pettegrew of Chautauqua, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Prince of Detroit, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Little Bethel Baptist Church in Hickman County with burial in Clark Cemetery there.
