We don't know much about Margaret, although some researchers believe her maiden name to be "Favour". Granddaughters named Margaret were probably named in honor of her. From censuses and other records, it appears that Samuel and Margaret were born and married in Pennsylvania. Their children were born in Pennsylvania, and then by 1830 they had moved to Malaga Township, Monroe County, Ohio. The family continued to grow and many moved into Indiana. Samuel and Margart moved to Salt Creek Township in Jackson County, Indiana after 1850 but soon Margaret passed away in 1855. She was buried on the family land. The family had been blessed with about 6 daughters and 2 sons who continued to have large families of the names Bowman, Carr, Brown, and Barkhimer, totalling at least 45 grandchildren (I didn't even try to count great grandchildren). As the country moved west so did their descendants. [written by Steven W Good, fourth great grandson of Samuel and Margaret]
