Roger Maurice Thompson, 72, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2017 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Heath Obarr officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Wilcox County, Ga. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Hawkinsville Congregation. Roger was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edd and Ruby Hobbs Thompson; brothers, Henry (Sonny) Thompson, Hoyt Thompson and Gerald Thompson.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
