Gloria Lucille Byrd, 75, died at 4:10 am Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Sunset Village of the Ozarks in Waynesville, Mo. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Tri County Baptist Church in Willisville, with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 7:30 to 9 am. Wednesday at McDaniel Funeral Home in Percy and then until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Sunset Village. Mrs. Byrd was a homemaker and a member of Tri County Baptist Church of Willisville.
She was born on May 10, 1924, in Willisville to William and Cletus Armstrong Levi. She married George Lyle Byrd on Dec. 14, 1942, in Willisville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1992. Survivors include four daughters, Lawonna Green of Salem, Donna Welch of Waynesville, Mo., Daryl Ryan of Millstadt and Sharla Welch of Rogers, Ark.; one son, Jan Byrd of Percy; one brother, Harry Thomas of Eugene, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her parents and one sister also preceded her in death.
