Dale Walter Bishop, 82, passed away at Winslow house on January 5th, 2017.

Dale was born to parents Walter and Mary-Leone (Dale) Bishop in November of 1934. One of 2 children.

Dale spent 2 years in the U.S. Army then went on to work for the Cedar Rapids Water Dept. He retired after 43 ½ years there.

In 1966, he married the love of his life, Mary (Oberfoell).

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Nancy Brown in 2015.

He is survived by his wife, his son James, half brother Cliff Bishop, his godmother Mary Kay Krumm, and several nieces & nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom on Tuesday, January 10th from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with burial in Cedar Memorial Park.

Memorial donations in Dale’s name may be made to American Diabetes Association or the local VFW.
