Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 12th, at Albany Church of Christ with Stewart McWilliams and Anthony Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, September 11th, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Hazel Marie Harris was born on April 18, 1919 in Pioneer, Texas to parents, Leonard L. Harris and Eva Elizabeth Hutton Harris. At the age of 16, Hazel moved to Albany from Rising Star, Texas. She married Elvy Beron Mitchell on June 19, 1935 in Albany. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Monte Mitchell, two brothers, Lee Harris and J.O. Harris, one sister, Bonnie Parsons, and two grandchildren, Jana Mitchell and Douglas Mitchell.
Hazel is survived by one son, Jackie Mitchell & wife, Carolyn of Odessa; one daughter, Treby & husband, Kent Beck of Tuscola; one daughter-in-law, Sheri Mitchell of Albany; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
