He was born on December 26, 1957, the fifth son of Grant Allen Adamson and Anna Boren Adamson.
Jay grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1976. He attended Utah Technical College at Provo and received an associate degree in television and radio technology.
His health kept him from doing many things in life, but when possible, he loved to go camping, fishing, hunting and anything to do with being with family. He was always a very devoted son to his mother and father.
Jay really loved children, and the one job that he enjoyed was being a crossing guard. He loved animals and always had a dog as a companion and friend.
He was a member of the LDS church and had a great love for his Heavenly Father. He made the commitment to go to the temple.
Jay was a humble man with a tender heart and a compassionate nature. He will be greatly missed by all who know and love him, but we sincerely rejoice in the freedom he now enjoys on the other side of the veil.
He is survived by his brothers, Larry (Cami) Adamson, Kelvin (Chris) Adamson, Pleasant Grove, Darryl (Sandi) Adamson, Albuquerque, NM, sister-in-law, Carolyn Adamson, Sandy, Ut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Anna Adamson, and his brother, Allen Adamson.
We would like to express our gratitude for the many kind gestures, thoughts, visits, and acts of service on behalf of Jay and our family, to the extended family members, the caregivers, aides, nurses, friends in assisted living, as well as Jay’s ward family, who helped care for Jay for many years. Their sacrifices, talents, and support blessed and sustained him as he valiantly and courageously pressed forward under difficult circumstances.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
