Susan Marie Stevens, age 64, of Nicholasville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Baptist Health Lexington.

Susan was born on February 18, 1952 in Geneva, OH to the late Thomas John Cox and Virginia Lingle Cox.

She is survived by a son, Donnie Whitman of Nicholasville, KY; a daughter, Heather Whitman of Detroit, MI; a brother, Robert Cox of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; four grandchildren, Douglas Trumbo of Nicholasville, KY, Tiffany Trumbo of Nicholasville, KY, Timothy Trumbo of Louisville, KY and Traxel Whitman; eight great grandchildren, Megan Stacey of Nicholasville, KY, Amber Trumbo of Nicholasville, KY, Joshua Trumbo of Nicholasville, KY, Koen Hardaman of Nicholasville, KY, Mnori Hardaman of Nicholasville, KY, Gabriel Trumbo of Louisville, KY, Grayson Trumbo of Louisville, KY and Oliver Trumbo of Louisville, KY; one great-great grandchild, Claire Melton of Somerset, KY; a daughter-in-law, Mayong Daniel Whitman of Nicholasville, KY; and a sister-in-law, Pam Cox.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Stevens, whom she married on May 13, 1983 in Romulus, MI; her significant other, Mark Sype; a brother, James Cox; a sister, Cynthia Cox; and an uncle, Jack Lingle.

A private Memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the American Lung Association.
