Mrs. Jeannie Jones, of North General Lee Ave., Dunn died Friday, November 25, 2016 at her home.
Jeannie was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 30, 1944 daughter of the late Charles Gene Hulsey and Frances McCathern Hulsey. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Earl Jones of Dunn.
Jeannie retired from Bell South in 1996 with 34 years of service and then worked with Tart Law Group from 1997 until the present. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Dunn. She was known for compassion for other people and known for sending cards to people through the years. Jeannie’s beauty was just not on the outside as someone said she was a Lady of Beauty not only outside but inside too. She never met a stranger and never said anything negative about anyone, She was such a soft spoken person and was the physical definition of the word “Lady” in every aspect of her life.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Dunn with Dr. Len Keever officiating.
Following the service there will be a visitation in the sanctuary at the church.
Jeannie is survived by: Her devoted husband: Walt Jones of the home. A Sister: Belinda Whitfield & (husband) Craig of Charleston, SC. Brothers-in-law: Wayland Jones & (wife) Linda of Garner, NC; Lynn Jones & (wife) Kathy of Asheboro, NC. Her Mother-in-Law: Frances C. Jones of Dunn, NC. Several Nieces & Nephews and Several Great Nieces & Great Nephews.
And a special family the members and their wives of Harry’s Band.
