Clifford J. Sheese, 83, of Terre Haute died at 5:35 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in Union Hospital. He retired from the city of Terre Haute Street Department. He was born April 18, 1917, in West Terre Haute to William Sheese and Goldie Hicks Sheese. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Annabelle Patton Sheese; five daughters, JoAnn Johnson, Duretta Dycus, Essie Keith and Norma Schwartz, all of Terre Haute and Kathy Morris of Shepherdsville; three sons, Tom Sheese and Mark Sheese, both of Terre Haute, and Bill Sheese of Indianapolis; one brother, Dallas Sheese of Terre Haute; 28 grand children; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is noon until services Tuesday.
