Obituary from The Messenger of Truth Issue 23, 1948:

Ada Koehn, daughter of Dan W. and Lizzie Koehn, was born on August 27, 1928 in McPherson County, Kansas. In this community she grew to womanhood and received her elementary education.
Ada and her twin sister Elda were a joy in our home. She was of a happy and cheerful disposition.
In her early childhood years she felt the need of a Savior; she calls upon Him and turned from her erroneous ways; was converted and upon confession of her faith was baptized into the church of God in Christ, Mennonite on November 12, 1943 to which vows she remained a faithful sister unto her end.
Ada had always been from childhood days a little weak physically, yet she was contented. She was under the doctor's care at different times. Last winter she had a severe attack of the flu and had never regained her strength fully. A few weeks ago she failed more seriously so that we had decided to seek medical aid. Tuesday evening Mother told Ada, "We will take you to the doctor tomorrow," to which Ada replied "I won't be able to go" an walking a few steps forward she fell and death came suddenly on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock, September 28, 1948 at the age of 20 year, 1 month and 1 day. Death was caused by rupture of Pulmonary Artery.
We mourn not as such that have no hope, because we believe that Ada prepared to meet her God. In the last week she made special preparation, talked to all of the members of the family at home. The last few days there seemed to be an expression of freedom on her face. We believe and have that consolation that she has gone to rest and we hope to meet her in Heaven some day.
She leaves to mourn her so sudden departure, her parents, her twin sister Elda, also Eva, Anna and Martha; 4 brothers, Pete, Abe, Sam and Alfred; 3 nieces and 4 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

There is no sorrow in Heaven,
No parting and no good-bye
To those with sins all forgiven.
There will be no tears in the sky.

And so He called to our Ada,
And opened His arms so wide
And left us in grief and sorrow,
On this earth of rolling tide.
