SSGT US AIR FORCE - WORLD WAR II, KOREA

CAMPBELLSBURG — Leonard "Johnny" Walton, 84, Campbellsburg, died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday at Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was a retired farmer and retired employee of the Washington County Highway Department. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving 20 years and earning the rank of staff sergeant.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Walton, Salem, and Timothy Walton, Campbellsburg; two sisters, Lois Chastain, Salem and Luella Webb, Oolitic; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem with Brother Robert Holler officiating. Burial will follow in the Livonia Cemetery with full military honors.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the service Sunday at the funeral home.
